Iran Vice Presidency on Women and Family Affairs
During the second decade of the Islamic Revolution, in 1987 the socio-cultural women council has established as the first planning and policy making council for women. With regard to the importance of women’s role, a vice presidency dedicated to the “women and family affairs” to maximize women participation through the following activities: increase women awareness, promote Muslim female role models, identifying women related issues, pursuing positive legal reforms in order to develop of women’s social support. Moreover the vice presidency support women NGOs in order to achieve its goals.
