Rakhshan Banietemad on the Jury of the Venice Film Festival
Rakhshan Banietemad, Iranian filmmaker has been selected as one of the seven members of the jury for the Horizons Section at the 74th Venice Film Festival.
The official website of Venice Film Festival reports that the jury for the competitive Horizons section of Venice Film Festival will be headed by the Italian filmmaker Gianni Amelio, and Rakhshan Banietemad will accompany American filmmaker Ami Canaan Mann, Irish-Scottish Filmmaker and scriptwriter Mark Cousins, Argentine filmmaker and architect Andres Duprat, Belgian filmmaker Fien Troch and French filmmaker Rebecca Zlotowski on the panel.
The jury at the Horizons Section of Venice Film Festival will be in charge of selecting the Best Film, Best Directing, Best Actor and Actress, Best Script, Best Short Film as well as the Jury Special Prize for this section.
The 74th Venice Film festival will be held in Italy August 30 - September 9, 2017.
