Two “Karestan” Documentaries at Green International Film Festival

According to the Public Relations Section of the 6th Green International Film Festival, two documentary films “Mother of the Earth” directed by Mahnaz Afzali and Poets of Life directed by Shirin Barghnavard both produced by Mojtaba Mirtahmasb will be screened in the competition Section of this festival.

 The documentary film “Mother of the Earth” takes a look at the joint life and work of Hayedeh Shirzadi and her husband Edmund Lempges and their efforts toward elimination of burial of city waste and turning the waste into bio compost and producing organic fertilizers to be used for organic agriculture.

The documentary “Poets of Life” is a poetical narration of the life, work and concerns of Shirin Parsi, rice grower, social and environmental activist and social activist in the field of women.

These two documentary films are among the “Karestan” documentary films that have been made by the private sector with Rakhshan Banietemad as Artistic Consultant and Mojtaba Mirtahmasb as Producer.

It should be noted that the documentary films “Mother of the Earth” and “Flax to Fire” (Together in one show) and “Poets of Life” are being screened through Art and Experience Cinematic Group.

The 6th Green International Film Festival with Farhad Tohidi as secretary will be held in Tehran and at the same time throughout the country September 9th – 15th, 2017.
