“Poets of Life” and “Mother of The Earth” at Docs For Sale in IDFA

The two documentaries of “Poets of Life” directed by Shirin Barghnavard and “Mother of The Earth” by Mahnaz Afzali and production of Mojtaba Mirtahmasb, will be attending the Docs For Sale sector of the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA)

The Docs For Sale is not only the most important section of IDFA but also the largest and the most credited market for documentaries in the world. The 30th round of this film festival will take place from 15-26 November.

“Poets of Life” is a poetic narration of the life, works and concerns of Shirin Parsi, rice grower, environmental activist and social activist in the field of women.

“The Mother of The Earth” however is a look at the joint life and work of Dr. Hayedeh Shirzadi and her husband Edmund Lempegs and their efforts toward elimination of the burial of city’s domestic waste, turning it into bio compost and producing organic fertilizers to be used for organic agriculture.

It is important to note that both of these documentaries are currently screened in the Art and Experience cinemas across the country.
